What I learn about men each day

My life in a coffee shop. May interactions and dealings with customers every day. Mostly about men because they are so memorable. For women to read because we will see these traits in all of our men.

Parties cont.

So how old do you have to be, to stop pot smoking and move along with your life?
For instance, the party from last night.
We are not talking 20 yr olds, but at least 50 years old and up.
I am not quite that old yet and I thought perhaps some of these party goers should make some other choices.
I felt like I was back in college in my dorm. Just waiting for the someone in authority to tell us to stop. We were the people of authority.
I think my objection comes when there are teens of the partiers in attendance and they see their parents lighting up.
Does anyone out there encounter older people who do not want to grow up?
This is a whole new subject for me. let me know.
Thanks

Parties?

Ya gotta love a party.
After working all week a friend from our Starbucks is throwing a Party.
I just love getting together with work friends to talk and dish the dirt on ourselves and customers as well.
I am not getting paid to be nice or flirt so i don't have to do anything but show up and have some tasty beverages. sounds like a plan.
However I have to get up at 345am to work tomorrow morning. How much fun and how much trouble can I get into if I have to get up early? I can tell you now I will be hurting in the am.
So how many readers get up early for work?
Does that get in the way of your dating or partying?
Let me know how you do it.
Have a good Saturday-last of September

New Hires - who will survive?

I got some New workers starting this week at my Starbucks store. Men and women. Any bets on who lasts the longest?
I have my ideas but we will see.
Have a good Wednesday

He's just not into me

So guys, what do you do with a woman you are not into?
She is interested but you are not.
I see this happen all the time at work. A guy is dating a girl. she thinks all is well but then the phone calls stop as well as the texts or emails.
Why do guys who are too busy or not interested feel like they need to string us along?
Why don't they just say they are "just not into you.?
Is it cowardly or is it an ego thing?
Please clear this up for women

I have a request from a recent blog.
Do women or men feel jealous when entering a relationship where their partner has remained friends with ex's ?
How do you feel when your friends, male or female are still friends with the ex? jealous, unhappy or is it okay that they remain friends.
How would I feel? I think at first I would be jealous and would have to keep an eye on time spent alone with the ex. perhaps I would want to be asked along when there was contact with the 2. After I saw the dynamics than I suppose that I would be ok, but I just don't know.
How about you readers. Time for some feedback
Have a wonderful Friday

New Hires

Hey we just hired 2 new employees at my Starbucks. They are both women.
I have to say that women workers tend to stay with the job longer than men.
I wonder why ?
Women tend to know how to multitask better than men. They don't get as frustrated as men and sometimes have a perkier disposition then men.
I do say that women bring more tips in than you guys. Nothing men love more than a women in short skirt and some cleavage showing. Serve then up a nice latte and they have the beginning of a great day.
What do you think?

Bathroom Waiting

So tell me how a person couldn't possibly see the 5 customers waiting ahead of them in the bathroom line?
How many times do I see it everyday. Someone who doesn't feel like they should have to wait in the bathroom line.
They pass right in fromt of all waiting and try the locked door. Then all the people in line inform them that there is a line. Can't they see the line?
Explain this to me.
Then I hear ... "I'll just be a minute" or " I don't have time to wait, can I go in first?"
There was just this close to a brawl this morning between a man and woman. The man decided that he didn't want to wait. The woman wouldn't back down, good for her.
We all were watching behind the counter as well as many customers.
Don't people realize that when they are being an ass that the whole world is watching them?
Another Sunday at the Buck.
Have a great week

Bluetooth

Ok here I go on a rant again.
About what you ask??? The #*@* Bluetooth.
I can't stand the rude customers that insist on finishing their conversation while trying to order a latte.
"Are you talking to me?" or some random caller?
Just put the phone down, or the caller on hold or God forbid, just hang up and return the call later.
How many urgent calls are you getting or making in the time it takes to make a latte or get a cup of coffee. Get lives all of you, away from the phone.
I am going to invent a jammer, but I am sure somewhere some intelligence agency has already come up with one. I want that technology everywhere there is potential for rudeness.
Well, be careful the next time you order with a Bluetooth on your ear. The coffee you order may not be quite what it appears to be. HaHa
Did I hear someone say DECAF?
Have a cell phone free Friday

Friends?

Ok guys, here is the question.
Can women and men remain "friends" after a relationship ends?
So many women I know have relationships that have ended and invariably the man wants to remain "friends". What is the point?
All those memories and past shared experiences. I think it is too painful.
Maybe men think differently so please tell us.

Enjoy your Tuesday

Don't people want to work anymore?

Ok the secret is out. Yes I work at a Starbucks locations. Believe me after all the stores I have worked in they are all pretty much the same customer wise.

So my complaint today are the people we hire and then soon after they decide to quit.

I think people do not have the same work ethic these days. I suspect , at least around my area, it has to do with the upbringing. So many people I hire have a car and credit cards provided by parents. Wonder why it is too much trouble to get up and go to work each day !

I am getting tired of it. It seems like there is no one looking for work anymore. People just want everything handed to them with little effort on their part.
Well I have a few interviews coming up this week. Let's see how they go.
Sorry for the rant

Dog fights

When you are serving up Lattes and Cappucinos each day there is nothing like the sound of snarling, barking and yelping dogs to make you happy!
Just kidding. I would almost have the arrogant spandex wearing men in line than the animal customers.
Today was a Sunday at the coffee shop and that means take your animals and have coffee.
Well I really don't care that you have a cute expensive dog. You need to leave them at home so customers can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in peace. Maybe read the newspaper or have a conversation.
It was so noisy with battling and yelping dogs that I had several customers complain to me. Of course I had to tell dog owners to leash their dogs. Never a good conversation!
Neither is telling them that their dogs are annoying other people and their children.
How many times have we all heard " O my dog is gentle , it never bites"?
Oh yes honey they all have the potential to bite.
Ever been bitten by a dog? IT HURTS!!!
Any readers have trouble with animals in shops? Let us know.
Have a happy September
